Director of Probation Services Carlos Walker Honored with Top 10 African American Male Award

The General Division congratulates Carlos Walker, Director of Probation Services, on being named a recipient of the 2026 Top 10 African American Male Award on behalf of Parity, Inc.

A graduate of Central State University and a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Carlos’ leadership style centers on service, mentorship, and empowerment. Under his leadership, the court’s Probation Services department has focused on treatment, education, and vocation based services to probationers. Carlos has contributed his expertise to organizations including the American Probation and Parole Association, the Ohio Supreme Court Judicial College Training Committee, TCN Behavioral Health, Sinclair Community College, and Dayton Leadership Academy. In January 2025, he was elected the first Black president of the Ohio Chief Probation Officers Association.

We are glad to celebrate this well-deserved recognition and grateful for Carlos’ continued dedication to strengthening our court, our profession, and the Greater Dayton community.
