Judge Angelina N. Jackson

Judge Angelina N. Jackson was elected to the General Division in 2022 after practicing law for 18 years.

A Dayton native, Judge Jackson graduated from Colonel White High School.  She received her B.A. from Florida A&M University in Tallahassee and her J.D. from the University of Cincinnati College of Law.

From 2015 until her election to the bench, Judge Jackson worked as an Assistant Montgomery County Public Defender.  Prior to her employment as a public defender, she was employed at the Ohio Justice & Policy Center, the University of Cincinnati College of Law, and the law firm of Dinsmore and Shohl.

Judge Jackson has volunteered with a number of community service initiatives, including mock trial, community-based legal clinics, the Greater Dayton Volunteer Lawyers Project, and the City of Dayton’s Use of Force Committee. She is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association, the Dayton Bar Association, the Ohio Black Judges Association, and the Thurgood Marshall Law Society.
