Your compensation for serving on a jury

Juror compensation varies between counties and is set by the Board of County Commissioners. In Montgomery County, prospective jurors receive $10.00 per day for reporting to jury service. If a juror is seated and serves as a petit juror, compensation is $20.00 per day. Jurors will receive payment via debit card. A juror’s employer is required to provide time off for jury service. Jurors should check with their employer regarding jury duty pay. Failure to report for jury service may result in contempt of court (ORC 2313.20 and 2313.99)
