Magistrate Adelina E. Hamilton
Magistrate Hamilton received her Bachelor of Arts from Ohio State University in 1998 and her Juris Doctor from the University of Dayton in 2004.
After three years working as an attorney in private practice, Magistrate Hamilton became an Assistant Public Defender in 2007. During her twelve years as an Assistant Public Defender in Montgomery County, Summit County, and Medina County, Magistrate Hamilton handled all phases of criminal cases, including homicide cases and appellate cases in the Second District Court of Appeals.
In 2019, Magistrate Hamilton joined Montgomery County Common Pleas Court, General Division, as a Staff Attorney and later became an Administrative Staff Attorney. In 2022, she was sworn in as a part-time Magistrate, and in 2024, she assumed full-time responsibilities as a Magistrate of the General Division.
Magistrate Hamilton is a member of the Dayton Bar Association, the Ohio State Bar Association, the Carl D. Kessler Inn of Court, and the Ohio Association of Magistrates. She currently serves as the Second District Representative on the Board of Trustees of the Ohio Association of Magistrates.
Courtroom
The Magistrate conducts all hearings in Courtroom 109 which is located on the first floor of the Court Building. All parties are required to check-in with staff in Room 103.
Once you pass through security, turn right and it will be on the left-hand side of the hallway across from the Clerk of Court’s Office.
